Nokia 808 Pureview with 41 MegaPixel Camera, and 5 Other Nokia Phones Unveiled at MWC12

Nokia was able to create some buzz at World Mobile Conference 2012 (Feb 27th to March 1st) with 6 new launches, including 808 Pureview equipped with 41 Megapixel camera – that’s huge; few are already calling it completely meaningless. But sure 808 Pureview is able to capture images with best results, we can tell you this from the sample pictures we have seen so far.

We will cover all phones with brief details, keep reading.

Nokia 808 Pureview

Nokia has jumped straight to a 41 Megapixel camera phone, when competition is wimbling around with under 10 MP camera phones.

Nokia 808 PureView comes with Nokia’s new PureView technology, coupled with highest performance Carl Zeiss optics (that’s what Nokia is saying) to date and Nokia’s brand-new pixel oversampling technology.

Pixel oversampling technology is vital to discuss here as it will allow you to switch between pixels, to make sure that long and close shot offer best results alike. This technology is said to add value in your shots in low light conditions.

Video Recording:

PureView will also allow you to capture 1080p videos at 30fps, with 4X lossless zoom thanks to the big sensor and powerful image processing which handles over 1 billion pixels per second.

At lower resolutions, the capabilities of the zoom increase, with 6X at 720p and up to 12X lossless zoom in nHD (640 x 360) recordings.

The Nokia 808 PureView is the world’s first video recording device to allow recording without distortion at audio levels beyond the capability of human hearing. This allows you to even in the harshest of environment capture stereo CD-like audio quality.
