While this is good news, there however are no new leaks about added functionality. Well, there is not much to wait for the release though – it will happen sometime in September.
What we already know is that Mac OS X v10.6 is not going to be a deep refinement of all base Mac's features, it will still be a Mac as we got used to it, but only faster and more secure. The biggest speed improvement I can consider at the moment is a one of half times speed boost in synchronization with the Time Capsule. This will provide an almost seamless file backup. Some hardware optimizations are added, for instance some tweaks for multicore systems, x64 processors, OpenCL, QuickTime X and so on. Users will like livelier Finder and enhanced support for Microsoft software.
The funny thing is though that Amazon sais that a more than a third of people who viewed Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade page have gone for the Snow Leopard.
