FIFA 13 Arrives to Nokia Lumia but not Windows Phone

FIFA 13, the latest instalment of the fabled soccer series has arrived to the Nokia Lumia smartphones but not to the platform as a whole. What’s more is that the game isn’t even available on Android right now.

The game is Xbox-Live enabled, of course given the platform. It features new gameplay elements including more improved controls. The graphics are also taken to a new level.

Telenor Finally Reacts to High Taxes, Tightening Regulations and Service Suspensions

Telenor yesterday decided to go hard on government against all the odds that telecom industry has been facing for past 2-3 years.

Telenor came up with an aggressive response when Lars Christian Luel, CEO, Telenor Pakistan, threatened Pakistani government to pull out of expected 3G auction by saying that company could find better places to invest as business case in Pakistan has weaken due to increased taxes, government-forced service suspensions and new regulations foe sale of new SIMs.

In an interview with The News and Express Tribune, Telenor CEO said that telecom companies aren’t money making machines and hence government will have to come up with rational policies to attract more investments. If not, then Telenor will pull out its investment – planned for 3G — from Pakistan to obtain better return on investment from other markets.

The Google Play Edition of Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One Go on Sale

A while back, Google announced that it would be selling the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One with Vanilla version of Android OS onboard. That day has finally arrived and both of the phones have finally gone on sale on Google Play.

The Google Edition of the phones are deprived of their exclusive software features and are exactly the same in this department. It is agreeable that HTC Sense and Touchwiz UI add a lot of features over Vanilla Android but with both of them gone, the phones will feel a bit snappier, that’s for sure.

Specifications-wise, the duo is exactly the same as there original counterparts. The Galaxy S4 version packs a SnapDragon 600 chipset underneath instead of the octa-core version but that won’t be hurting anyone much. Instead, it will yield better battery life. HTC One, on the other hand, will be packing the same quad-core SnapDragon 600 version as the original phone.

Nokia Asha 501 Smartphone with 48 Days Battery Launched in Pakistan

Nokia announced that the Nokia Asha 501, the first smartphones to run on, yet another OS from Finnish company, the Asha Platform is going to surface in Pakistan with-in a week.

Launching with Pakistan and Thailand, Nokia Asha 501 will roll out in subsequent weeks across countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. It is said that US, Canada and European markets may not see Asha 501 as Nokia is focusing these rich markets with its Lumia series.

Nokia Asha 501 is part of new smartphone range from Nokia, aimed at emerging markets and those early buyers who are going to get their first smartphone.
